DIMO, HNB Assurance and HDFC win at ACCA Awards

DIMO, HNB Assurance and HDFC Bank were yesterday recognised as Sri Lanka’s most transparent and accountable business entities at the 10th edition of the ACCA Sustainability Reporting Awards held at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo.

The corporate entities were conferred the large, medium, and small scale category awards respectively.

Brandix Lanka in the large scale category and Vallibel Power Erathna in the small scale category gained a positive nod from the panel of judges as First Time Entrants, conforming to the stringent reporting guidelines benchmarked against Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines followed by best business practices internationally.

Runners up in each category were Dialog Axiata (large scale), Aitken Spence Hotels and John Keells Hotels (medium scale), and Convenience Foods (small scale), while Union Assurance and John Keells Holdings received commendation awards.

The Chief Guest at the event was ADB Country Director Rita O’Sullivan, while ACCA Executive Director Markets Stephen Heathcote attended as the Guest of Honour.
