Business leader Dhammika Perera has been picking up more Hayleys shares with collective stake now nearing 48%.
Dhammika via Royal Ceramics Plc had collected bulk of the 366,200 shares of Hayleys which traded on Friday for Rs. 140 million.
As at end of 2011, Dhammika and via connected parties held around 47% stake whilst since then on 2 January, via RCL he bought 125,600 shares between a high of Rs. 390 and a low of Rs. 375 and on 14 February, RCL had collected 63,600 shares in addition to slightly over 300,000 shares on Friday, most of it at Rs. 380 per share, same price as the recent most mandatory offer. Hayleys finished the week at Rs. 380.40, up by Rs. 17.90 whilst it hit an intra-day high of Rs. 390 as well.
