Correction: Not Central Finance

In the Daily FT Page 6 article yesterday titled ‘Key seminar on failures of finance companies on 31 January’, there was a reference to Central Finance. This is incorrect and the reference should have been Mercantile Credit Ltd., which was among finance companies that crashed in the late 1980s. We regret the error despite the story being based on a statement issued by the organisers of the conference.
