The segregation of business is keeping in line with synergies of the 100% owned subsidiary, Colonial Motors Ceylon Ltd. The Parent Company Colonial Motors PLC will continue operations as a property holding and investment Company and continue to be listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange. Since taking over the Mazda brand, Colonial Motors Ceylon has been able to grow the brand significantly, with sales surpassing 200 units. The company also boasts of a state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly workshop conforming to Japanese standards and equipped with renewable energy sources, facilities for re-cycling of all waste water, sound proof body shops and special tooling for the SkyActiv technology engines.
