Colombo tea auction’s averages in Sept. highest ever

Total auction average for September 2013 totalled 475.83, showing a gain of Rs. 56.05 vis-à-vis 419.78 of 2012, Forbes and Walker Tea Brokers said. “It is also noteworthy that this is the highest monthly auction average recorded, surpassing the previous best of Rs. 444.07 achieved in August 2013,” the broking firm added.
