CIFL case to come up again today

Central Investments and Finance Plc (CIFL) said yesterday that the writ application submitted by the depositors for a stay order was called for counter affidavit and limited objections on 31 October. The Counsel for the petitioners informed that they will file counter affidavits in relation to the limited objections already filed by four respondents by 1 November. They have also informed that they will not proceed this matter against the 17th respondent People’s Leasing and Finance Plc CEO P. Kumarage. “This matter will be taken up on 6 November and the stay order was extended until 7 November,” CIFL said in its filing to the Colombo Stock Exchange released yesterday.
