Bourse blues persist

The Colombo stock market continued to remain depressed with year to date decline increasing to 2.2% by yesterday whilst investors were less active with Rs. 341 million turnover.

Both ASI and MPI dipped by 0.5% whilst number of shares traded was a paltry 12 million dismally below annual daily average of 101 million shares. The only silver lining was a Rs. 22 million net foreign inflow.
