BBS founder condemns decision to hold rally in Aluthgama

Kirama Vimalajothi Thera, the founder of the Bodu Bala Sena, has condemned the decision taken by the BBS to hold a rally in Aluthgama where a tense situation prevailed due to the incident that took place on Poson Poya day, 12 June, Daily FT’s sister paper Sunday Times (Online) reported yesterday. The Thera has said the he condemned the violence and disruption that occurred after the rally. He also stated that he has not been involved in the decision making and other activities concerning the BBS since beginning of this year, but has not resigned from the organisation officially.
