Asian Alliance picks up NDB shares

Softlogic Holdings-linked Asian Alliance Insurance has last week bought 0.4 million shares of NDB Bank for Rs. 58.6 million. It had paid Rs. 138 per share. Asian Alliance controlling shareholder, Softlogic Group Chairman Ashok Pathirage, is the Deputy Chairman of NDB Bank. Last month he bought 1.47 million shares in NDB Bank at Rs. 135 each. Investment in NDB Bank by Asian Alliance was in addition to it buying one million JKH shares last week.
