Arpico Finance gets interim injunction on Richard Pieris Arpico Finance

Arpico Finance Company PLC filed a case against Richard Pieris Arpico Finance Ltd. at the Commercial High Court of the Western Province on 13 March 2012 for using the name ‘Arpico Finance’ in their respective company name as well and obtained an interim injunction against Richard Pieris Arpico Finance Limited on 30 July 2013. Having considered the fact that Arpico Finance PLC who has been in the business for 61 years serving its prestigious clientele, has a legitimate right to use the name ‘Arpico Finance’ and also since that action can mislead the general public on the identity of Arpico Finance PLC an Interim injunction was served restraining Richard Pieris Arpico Finance Ltd. for using the word ‘Arpico Finance’ in respect of their business until the hearing and final determination of the action.
