AIA boss Tucker to talk on ‘Key Economic Themes in Asia and their implications for Sri Lanka’ tomorr

Eminent Speaker Mark Edward Tucker, Executive Director, the Group Chief Executive and President of the AIA Group, will be sharing his thoughts on ‘Key Economic Themes in Asia      and their implications for Sri Lanka’ at Miloda – Academy of Financial Studies, the training Institute of the Ministry of Finance and Planning. Tucker’s lecture at Miloda Academy of Financial Studies is scheduled for tomorrow, 6 May, at 4 p.m.Tucker is an Executive Director, the Group Chief Executive and President of AIA Group as well as a member of the Board of Directors of Goldman Sachs. Prior to joining the Group, he has served several leadership roles at Prudential, most recently as the Chief Executive Officer from 2005 to 2009. Through his executive positions at AIA Group, Prudential and HBOS, Mark has possessed substantial experience in the financial service industry, international business and global capital markets, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region. With the experience of being a non-executive director on the Court of The Bank of England as well as a member of its Audit and Risk and Financial Stability Committees, he has a seasoned perspective on risk management and the stability of a financial system. Tucker has been a Chartered Accountant from 1985. On the lighter side of life, Mark is a former professional soccer player. As records go, his strategy is working, which explains the success associated with his career. Tucker is the fourth speaker of the eminent speaker series organised by the Academy. This is part of the capacity development endeavors spearheaded by the Ministry of Finance and Planning for the benefit of the Public and the Private Sector.
