Workers’ remittances top $ 2 b mark by April

Workers’ remittances have crossed the $ 2 billion mark in the first four months of this year as per the Central Bank data.

In April, workers remittances amounted to $ 544 million down from $ 572 million in the previous month but higher in comparison to $ 454 million a year ago. Cumulative amount was $ 2.08 billion, up by 11.4% from the first four months of last year.
