The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Sri Lanka (CILT SL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with EFL Global to strengthen the flagship IGNITE Mentoring Program of its women’s forum, Women in Logistics and Transport Sri Lanka (WiLAT SL), further connecting structured mentorship with defined industry exposure.
Through this partnership, top performing IGNITE mentees will receive structured internship placements under EFL Global’s Pathway to Logistics Program. The six-month internship, conducted twice annually, offers hands-on exposure across core operational functions and equips participants with practical insight into global supply chain operations.
With more than eleven years of impact, IGNITE has mentored over 250 young professionals and undergraduates across Sri Lanka’s logistics and transport sector. This collaboration marks the program’s first formal expansion into structured industry placement, reinforcing its long-term contribution to the national talent pipeline.
Selected mentees will gain experience across live projects, cross-functional teams, and structured professional development under EFL’s leadership, with potential pathways to permanent roles upon successful completion.
Representatives from both organisations described the partnership as a meaningful step in strengthening professional capability and preparing future-ready supply chain leaders for Sri Lanka’s evolving industry landscape.
