The ‘ViYASA’ National Business Facilitation Centre (NBFC), established under the Presidential Secretariat to remove administrative and regulatory barriers to investment and industry, opens today (22).

The Centre has been set up on President Anura Kumara Dissanayake’s initiative to bring about a positive transformation in the industrial sector. It is expected to provide solutions to issues businesses face when dealing with Government institutions during start-up and operation, while coordinating with relevant agencies to facilitate the process.

The NBFC is located at Building C-80, Hector Kobbekaduwa Mawatha, Colombo 7, and is headed by Presidential Secretariat Senior Additional Secretary Seevali Arukgoda, the former Customs Director General.

The Centre will be opened under the patronage of Labour Minister and Finance and Planning Deputy Minister Dr. Anil Jayantha Fernando and Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Minister Sunil Handunneththi, with the participation of Secretary to the President Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake.
