Udaya Seneviratne appointed as new President’s Secretary

Udaya R. Seneviratne yesterday took office as the new Secretary to the President, the President Media Division announced.

A retired civil servant, Seneviratne has 37 years of experience in the public service, a statement from the PMD said.

He has served as the Secretary to several ministries, including Science and Technology, Sports, Highways and Investment Promotion, Environment and Mahaweli Development, and has served as an Additional Secretary to the Foreign Affairs and Finance Ministries.
