US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Alaina Teptlitz yesterday met President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
The meeting took place at the Presidential Secretariat and Ambassador Teptlitz was accompanied by Deputy Chief of Mission Martine Kelly and Chief Political Officer Anthony Renzulli.
During her first meeting with the President Rajapaksa, Ambassador Teptlitz discussed charting a course for a US partnership with a sovereign, secure, and prosperous Sri Lanka based on good governance that spurs economic growth and protects the rights of all Sri Lankans, the US Embassy told the Daily FT.
