• President assigns organic fertiliser onus to Shasheendra

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa yesterday reshuffled two State Ministry portfolios.

State Minister Shasheendra Rajapaksa was handed over the new responsibility of Organic Fertiliser Production, Supply and Regulation on top of the existing tasks of Paddy and Grains, Organic Food, Vegetables, Fruits, Chillies, Onion and Potato Cultivation Promotion, Seed Production and Advanced Technology for Agriculture.

With the reshuffle of the ministerial portfolios, Mohan de Silva was made State Minister of Coast Conservation and Low-Lying Lands Development. Both new State Ministers were sworn in by President Rajapaksa.

Secretary to the President P.B. Jayasundera was also present at the occasion.
