Turkish Airlines has upgraded its Istanbul-Colombo operations with the introduction of the Airbus A350-900 wide-body aircraft, marking an enhancement to capacity and on-board standards on the route.
The deployment of the A350-900 represents a step-up in passenger comfort and operating efficiency on the Sri Lanka-Türkiye air link, strengthening long-haul connectivity between Colombo, Istanbul, and the airline’s wider global network.
The new-generation aircraft brings improved fuel efficiency, advanced cabin technology, and a higher-quality in-flight experience, aligning the Colombo service with Turkish Airlines’ latest long-haul fleet standards.
The upgrade is expected to further reinforce Colombo’s role as a regional aviation gateway while enhancing travel options for both inbound and outbound passengers.
