Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga has tabled a proposal to the Cabinet of Ministers to extend the grace period for the payment of the Tourism Development Levy (TDL) to all tourism entities registered under the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
“The request has been made to grant a grace period of two years without penalty to pay the arrears of TDL due to the SLTDA for a period of 32 months from 1 April 2019 to 31 December 2021,” he said.
Minister Ranatunga said the relevant proposal had been submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers yesterday.
