Sri Lanka’s business landscape is set for a defining moment with the launch of TiECON Sri Lanka 2026, the country’s premier entrepreneurship summit designed to connect innovation with global opportunity.

Organised by TiE Colombo, this landmark event will bring together entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs, policymakers and educators, visionaries, innovators, global business leaders, and private equity and venture capital professionals, along with some of the world’s leading brand builders, creating a powerful launchpad for Sri Lankan companies aspiring to make their mark on the world stage.

TiE Sri Lanka President Madu Rathnayake said: “Our goal with TiECON 2026 is simple – it is to help Sri Lankan companies step confidently onto the world stage. This is where local ideas grow into global brands.”

Scheduled for 9 January 2026 at Cinnamon Life, Colombo, TiECON Sri Lanka 2026 will gather over 600 participants, both local and international, and 30+ global speakers for a day of world-class insights, connections, and collaboration.

This year’s conference focuses on helping Sri Lankan brands and businesses transition from local success to international expansion. The agenda will explore how homegrown companies can expand regionally and globally, navigate trade and technology shifts, and build sustainable competitive advantage in the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital transformation.

Key discussions at TiECON Sri Lanka 2026 will delve into how Sri Lankan brands can resonate in international markets, how companies can expand their operations beyond borders, and how innovation can be leveraged to stay competitive on a global scale. The conference will also explore what it takes to build cohesive cross-border teams and form meaningful international partnerships.

Through these conversations, TiECON Sri Lanka 2026 aims to equip entrepreneurs and business leaders with the insights, strategies, and global networks needed to scale Sri Lankan enterprises worldwide. More importantly, it offers a rare opportunity for participants to connect directly with global leaders and investors, creating the kind of relationships that can open doors far beyond Sri Lanka.

TiE Sri Lanka is part of the global TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) network, a not-for-profit organisation founded in Silicon Valley in 1992 to support and scale entrepreneurship globally.

Today, TiE operates across over 60 chapters in 14 countries, representing 15,000+ members, including some of the world’s most accomplished founders, investors, and business leaders. Since its establishment in 2024, TiE Sri Lanka has played a key role in building a strong entrepreneurial community through mentorship, education, and global exposure.

With the launch of TiECON Sri Lanka 2026, TiE Colombo continues its vision to help Sri Lankan businesses compete, collaborate, and thrive on the global stage, with a clear vision of taking 5,000 Sri Lankan entrepreneurs to international markets and helping them scale globally.
