Three tax bills to House tomorrow

The Committee on Public Finance yesterday consented to presenting three bills to Parliament that give legal effect to tax cuts introduced by the Government after taking office last November.

Accordingly, the Nations Building Tax (Amendment) Bill, Economic Service Charge (Amendment) Bill and Ports and Airport Development Levy (Amendment) Bill will be presented to the House for approval tomorrow.

The Committee decided to consent to the bills at a meeting held yesterday under the chairmanship of MP M.A. Sumanthiran.
