Stock market to reopen today

The Colombo bourse will reopen today after being shut for four consecutive days.

The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) said the market would resume trading with revised timing.

Pre-open session will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.; open auction will be at 10 a.m. Regular trading will commence after the open auction at 10 a.m. and close at 1 p.m.

“In view of the Government declaring a period of six working days from 20-27 March for employees of the public and private sectors to work from home, the CSE requests the member firms/trading members to follow suit to the extent possible,” the CSE statement added.
