Sri Lanka Tourism yesterday said the country remains safe and fully open to visitors despite adverse weather affecting several regions, noting that major tourist destinations continue to operate without disruption. Hotels, transport services and attractions are functioning as normal, while authorities are monitoring conditions closely.

Tourism officials said comprehensive safety measures are in place and that industry partners are coordinating with the Disaster Management Centre, Tourist Police and local authorities to support travellers where needed. Visitors were advised to rely on official weather updates when planning journeys and to contact the 24-hour tourism hotline on 1912 for assistance if affected by the prevailing conditions.

Sri Lanka Tourism said the island continues to welcome travellers and emphasised that services remain uninterrupted across key destinations.
