Sabre Sri Lanka appoints aviation specialist Chandana De Silva as Country Head

Softlogic Holdings PLC, yesterday announced the appointment of Chandana De Silva, an accomplished aviation specialist, as the new Country Head of Sabre Sri Lanka. 

Sabre Sri Lanka is a subsidiary of Softlogic Holdings PLC and a joint venture between Softlogic Holdings and Sabre.

With a distinguished career spanning over 30 years in the aviation industry, De Silva has contributed significantly to operational excellence, advancing airline commercial strategy, sustaining revenue growth, fostering government and tourism partnerships, and elevating aviation profiles in Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

As a seasoned aviation industry leader with global airline experience, he performed in senior roles in sales, corporate communications, government relations, and executive country management and recognised for leading strategic industry initiatives and enhancing tourism promotion through cross-sector collaboration.

His professional work experience includes key positions in the National Carrier SriLankan Airlines and Emirates Airlines. He performed as Emirates Airline Sales Manager — Sri Lanka, SriLankan Airlines

Manager — Sri Lanka and Maldives, SriLankan Airlines Head of Corporate Communications, Emirates Airline Country Manager - Sri Lanka and Maldives, Emirates Airlines Manager — Government Liaison Sri Lanka and Maldives.
