As a part of Sri Lanka Tourism’s continuous international promotions to ‘Keep the Sri Lankan Holiday Dream Alive,’ destination Sri Lanka will be featured in one of the top culinary travel YouTube channels in the world – ‘Chopstick Travel’.

With the mission to popularise the Safe and Secure Bio Travel Bubble Process and rich tourism product diversity available, Sri Lanka Tourism (SLTPB) welcomed popular food travel YouTube channel ‘Chopstick Travel’ (link: https://www.youtube.com/user/ToastWithJim) from 16 April 2021 to 9 May).

Destination Sri Lanka will be featured in Chopstick Travel’s latest travel episodes which will premiere on Sunday 13 June.

With over 1.5 million active subscribers base (over 224,060,010 views), Chopstick Travel is considered as one of the top culinary travel vlogs on YouTube. They have a Canadian-based Chopstick Travel site, which also has a massive reach of one million Facebook followers (https://www.facebook.com/chopsticktravel) from around the world.

According to the latest statistics, the majority of their digital audience appears to be from USA, UK, India and Canada.

Despite global travel concerns over COVID-19 pandemic, Chopstick Travel has successfully completed their 20-days tour under Sri Lanka Tourism’s Visiting Blogger Program (VBP) by experiencing 14 days of culinary-focused local experiences via bio travel bubble.

The channel has created five unique Sri Lankan travel episodes in order to provide in-depth awareness about the latest travel guidelines set up by the Government to encourage international tourists to visit Sri Lanka by assuring their safety and security.  Their content will also feature mouth-watering local village cuisine and cooking with the indigenous Veddah tribe.

Chopstick Travel has already begun pre-promotions for the upcoming Sri Lankan series by launching an exclusive promotional video. In the promotional video, the travel duo behind Chopstick Travel, Luke Martin and Sabrina Davidson state: “We just got back from the most incredible trip to Sri Lanka. This series we will be sharing Sri Lanka’s new Safe and Secure Tourism Program that allows travellers to come to the country and experience the culture, the cuisine, the beauty – all within a non-restrictive 14 days’ quarantine.  We will be sharing with you our travel across the country.”
