SL among Condé Nast Traveller readers’ favourite destinations in 2023

Sri Lanka has been voted among the “Top 20 Favourite Countries” in the world as per the 2023 Readers’ Choice Awards conducted by the popular magazine Condé Nast Traveller.

Sri Lanka was ranked at number 19 ahead of France and after South Africa in the ranking. Japan topped the list followed by Italy and Greece as second and third respectively. Sri Lanka was also the only Asian country in the list apart from Japan.

For the year under review, Sri Lanka bagged a score of 88.36. 

“Europe dominated this year’s list of Reader’s Choice Awards winners for the world’s best countries to travel to, matching what we were hearing anecdotally (and seeing on Instagram) about where travellers have been choosing to go,” the October issue of the magazine added. 

Other destinations listed include; Ireland, New Zealand, Spain, Portugal, Israel, Norway, Switzerland, Turkey, Australia, Iceland, Croatia, Germany, and the UK.
