Their presence as Strategic Partner underscores the summit’s commitment to bringing the highest calibre of global expertise to the region.

The 12th Annual Cyber Security Summit (https://cybersecuritysummit.lk), organised by CICRA and Daily FT, is Sri Lanka’s premier cybersecurity event. This year’s summit is entirely focused on the latest technological advance, Artificial Intelligence, and is dedicated to answering one critical question: “Is your organisation ready for AI-based cyberattacks?”

Scheduled on 18 and 19 November at the Cinnamon Grand, Colombo, the summit will bring together global experts, industry leaders, and policymakers to discuss the evolving threat landscape and provide actionable solutions for the audience.

Day one, 18 November, features the exclusive CEO Forum themed “Why Cyber Security Should Be a Boardroom Discussion.” With recent incidents in the country, the Companies Act, and the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) now holding board members personally liable for breaches, cybersecurity is no longer an IT issue, it is a governance imperative.

CICRA Holdings Group Executive Director/CEO Boshan Dayaratne said: “Whether we like it or not, most companies are already using AI in their day-to-day operations. CEOs and board members must be aware of whether those AI systems are being used responsibly and ethically, and must set a robust AI governance framework.”

The CEO Forum is by invitation only. CEOs who have not received their invitation are welcome to contact the summit secretariat to request one.

As Strategic Partner, Resecurity will be deeply integrated into the summit’s three core events, ensuring attendees gain hands-on, world-class experience:

The CTF Challenge: The summit will host a thrilling Capture the Flag (CTF) competition using a world-renowned platform that is utilised in prestigious events globally, including the recent UN Summit in New York. This is an open invitation to all companies to form teams of four and enter the challenge. It is a unique opportunity to showcase your team’s capabilities, test your skills, and compete on a global stage against top talent. Event is scheduled on 14 November 2026, registrations are now open on https://cybersecuritysummit.lk

Expert Speaker Sessions: Resecurity will be sending globally recognised resources to speak at the summit on 18 and 19 November at the Cinnamon Grand. Their insights will provide attendees with a deep understanding of the current threat landscape and the future of cyber defence.

The “Night Hack” Showdown: Resecurity has agreed to headline the summit’s famous closing event, the “Night Hack.” They will present a thrilling live demonstration of AI hacking and defending, showcasing the real-world implications of the technologies discussed throughout the summit.

The central theme of this year’s summit is a critical question for every organisation. “AI is no longer a theoretical concept; it is a weaponised reality. The question we must ask ourselves is not if an AI-based attack will happen, but when. Are we ready? The 12th Annual Cyber Security Summit is designed to provide the answers. By partnering with a global powerhouse like Resecurity, we are not just asking the question, we are providing the platform, the knowledge, and the tools to build a resilient future,” added Dayaratne.

The agreement was formalized by Resecurity Senior Vice President Mark Kelly, who flew down to Sri Lanka to sign the partnership with the summit organizers.

Resecurity Head of Business Development (SAARC) Rajan Pant said: “Resecurity is proud to be the Strategic Partner of the 12th Annual Cyber Security Summit. We have great respect for CICRA’s vision and are committed to working with them to establish US technology and solutions in Sri Lanka.  This summit is the perfect launch-pad for this initiative, and we look forward to a successful and impactful collaboration between US and Sri Lankan Cybersecurity professionals.”

The summit is expected to be a sell-out event. Registrations for the summit and the CTF challenge are now open. To secure your place and register your team of four for the CTF, please logon to https://cybersecuritysummit.lk
