Remittances grow 3.4% in July

Workers’ remittances recorded a moderate growth of 3.4%, year-on-year amounting to $ 592.1 million in July 2017, reversing the trend which was observed during the last four months.

However, the cumulative inflow from workers’ remittances recorded a decline of 5.7% to $ 3,946.7 million during the first seven months of 2017 in comparison to $ 4,185.9 million in the corresponding period of 2016.
