MMBL-Pathfinder Group Director Rajan Asirwatham passed away yesterday morning. The burial is this afternoon.
Asirwatham is a highly regarded Sri Lankan chartered accountant and business leader, notably serving as the Senior Partner and Country Head of KPMG Sri Lanka (formerly Ford Rhodes Thornton & Co.) for over four decades.
He has served the Government of Sri Lanka in several key capacities, including as Chairman of the Bank of Ceylon, Chairman of the Public Enterprises Reforms Commission (PERC), and a member of various Presidential Commissions on Taxation and Salaries.
