Leader of the House Minister Bimal Rathnayake yesterday announced that President Anura Kumara Disanayake will convene an all-party meeting today (10) to discuss the reciprocal tariffs imposed by the US.

In a post via ‘X,’ Rathnayake noted the President will meet all party leaders at the Presidential Secretariat.

“The discussion will focus on the impact of unusual US Tariffs on our exports.

Today (Wednesday) morning, 12 Opposition party leaders requested to meet the President to discuss the issue,” he wrote.

The US imposed a steep 44% tariff on Sri Lankan exports under its reciprocal tariff policy, which came into effect from yesterday.
