The 12th Annual Cyber Security Summit 2026 yesterday announced that Pinnacle Distribution Lanka Ltd, together with VMware by Broadcom, has joined as a Gold Partner.

This strategic collaboration brings one of the world’s most trusted names in enterprise infrastructure security to Sri Lanka’s premier cybersecurity event, reinforcing the summit’s mission to equip organisations with the knowledge and tools to confront AI-powered cyber threats.

Sri Lanka’s premier cybersecurity event, the 12th Annual Cyber Security Summit, organised by CICRA and the Daily FT will be held on 18 and 19 November at the Cinnamon Grand, Colombo.

Pinnacle Distribution Lanka is a leading value-added IT distribution and consulting company serving Sri Lanka and the Maldives, with over a decade of expertise in delivering enterprise-focused solutions. As a Broadcom Expert Advantage Partner and the VMware Partner of the Year 2025 (Rising Star – APAC), Pinnacle specialises in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), VMware vSAN, VMware Kubernetes Service (VKS), and the Tanzu Platform.

The company provides end-to-end consulting services from infrastructure assessments and solution architecture design to project implementation and continuous optimisation helping enterprises to modernise their IT infrastructure with resilience and operational efficiency.

CICRA Holdings Group Executive Director/CEO Boshan Dayaratne said:  “We are delighted to welcome VMware and thank Pinnacle for coming on board as a Gold Partner for the 12th Annual Cyber Security Summit.”

“The threat landscape is no longer static. AI is changing the volume, velocity, and variety of attacks, and traditional perimeter-based security is insufficient. What organisations need today is layered, infrastructure-native defence the kind of zero-trust, hypervisor-level protection that VMware and Pinnacle bring to the table. This partnership ensures our summit attendees gain direct access to the technologies and expertise that will define the next generation of cyber resilience,” he added.

Pinnacle Distribution Lanka Ltd., Managing Director Saman D. Perera said: “Pinnacle is proud to partner with CICRA and VMware as a Gold Partner for the 12th Annual Cyber Security Summit. VMware’s security innovations, particularly vDefend, Avi Load Balancer, and the newly launched HyperArmor, represent a fundamental shift toward proactive, infrastructure embedded defense. As Sri Lankan enterprises accelerate their digital transformation and adopt AI-driven operations, the need for resilient, secure foundations has never been greater. We look forward to engaging with summit participants and demonstrating how Pinnacle and VMware can help them build that foundation.”

At the summit, Pinnacle and VMware will introduce attendees to VMware’s comprehensive security solutions designed for the AI era. VMware’s security portfolio delivers comprehensive endpoint and network visibility, detection and response, and zero-trust implementation to defend against ransomware and pinpoint threats with strong lateral security.

Key products on display will include: VMware vDefend: Delivers strong lateral security with micro-segmentation and advanced threat detection and prevention for VMware Cloud Foundation workloads; VMware AVI Load Balancer: Provides web application and API protection (WAAP) for securing web and API traffic; VMware HyperArmour: A newly introduced solution offering proactive, zero-day protection for the VMware ESX hypervisor component of VMware Cloud Foundation, with no downtime, software upgrades, or in-guest agents required. As AI-accelerated threats grow in scale and sophistication, HyperArmour closes exposure windows by allowing only what is “known good” to run on the host, delivering virtual patching and positive security guardrails at the infrastructure layer.

The 12th Annual Cyber Security Summit  is entirely focused on the latest technological advance Artificial Intelligence and is dedicated to answering the critical question: “Is your organisation ready for AI-based cyber attacks?” Day one, 18 November, features the invitation-only CEO Forum on “Why Cyber Security Should Be a Boardroom Discussion,” addressing board-level liability under the Companies Act and PDPA and the urgent need for robust AI governance frameworks. 19 November is the full-day conference, bringing global expert speakers, a world-renowned Capture the Flag challenge, and invaluable insights and solutions for attendees and that same evening, the famous “Night Hack” event delivers a thrilling night of AI hacking and defending, giving participants a live, hands-on look at the real-world implications of AI-powered threats. Together, the two days provide the insights, solutions, and experience needed to confront the AI-driven threat landscape head-on. For registration please lognin https://cybersecuritysummit.lk
