Largest shareholder Odeon Holdings (Ceylon) Ltd., has increased its stake in CT Holdings PLC.
The company last week bought 5.54 million shares of CT Holdings at Rs. 650 each in a deal worth Rs. 3.5 billion. The stake amounts to 2.7%.
Odeon, as at 30 June 2025, was holding 45.94% stake or 92.53 million shares as the largest shareholder, up from 42.3% a year ago. It is owned by Louis R. Page, who is also the Chairman of CT Holdings PLC. On 10 September, CT Holdings saw foreign sales worth
Rs. 2.6 billion.
On 12 September, Director M.M. Page sold over 1.5 million shares of CT Holdings, mostly at Rs. 650 each. The market also saw another related P.R. Page sold around 1.5 million shares at Rs. 702 each recently.
Overall, last week, CT Holdings saw 6.1 million shares traded for Rs. 4 billion. The share price on Friday closed at Rs. 688.50, down by Rs. 18.75 from the previous week.
