Nivard wants demutualisation of CSE expedited

State Minister of Money and Capital Market and State Enterprise Reforms Nivard Cabraal

State Minister Nivard Cabraal last week requested the capital market regulator and promoter to expedite the demutualisation

of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) pending for many years.

Cabraal emphasised the urgency during a meeting with the officials of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the CSE.

At the meeting the progress of the new SEC Act as well as demutualisation of the CSE came under review, apart from an assessment of the status of the Colombo stock market.
