The Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (SLID), in partnership with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), will host the inaugural SLID–ACCA National Corporate Director Awards 2025 today at 6.30 p.m. at the Oak Room, Cinnamon Grand Colombo.
The awards are designed to recognise and celebrate outstanding corporate directors who have demonstrated leadership, integrity, and governance excellence, while shaping the future of Sri Lankan business. The initiative marks a significant milestone in strengthening board professionalism and promoting global best practices in corporate governance.
The ceremony will be graced by British High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Andrew Patrick as Chief Guest. The Guest of Honour will be Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Senior Professor D.B.P.H. Dissabandara. International Finance Corporation (IFC) Principal Country Officer Victor Antonypillai will attend as Special Guest.
As the national body dedicated to advancing director professionalism, the SLID believes that recognising governance excellence is critical to building resilient institutions, attracting quality investment, and enhancing national credibility.
