Namal released on bail with Rs. 60 m surety, ordered not to interfere with witnesses

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Namal Rajapaksa, remanded over money laundering allegations linked to the Airbus case, has been released on bail with sureties totalling Rs. 60 million. He has also been ordered not to interfere with witnesses.

Colombo Fort Magistrate Pasan Amaraseena yesterday ordered Rajapaksa’s release on two surety bails of Rs. 30 million each and a 

cash bail of Rs. 500,000.

The Court also imposed a travel ban on Rajapaksa and ordered that it be notified to the Controller General of Immigration and Emigration.
