National Development Bank PLC yesterday clarified that KPMG has been appointed as its External Auditor for the financial year ending 31 December 2026, following approval by shareholders at the Annual General Meeting held on 27 March 2026.

The bank said Ernst & Young has ceased to hold office as External Auditor with effect from the same resolution.

NDB noted that the change was effected to ensure compliance with Direction No. 6.2 (d) (iv) of the Banking Act Directions No. 5 of 2024 and the Central Bank’s Rules on Corporate Governance, which stipulate that the engagement of an external auditor shall not exceed six years.

The clarification follows a request for further details on the resolutions passed at the AGM a about a month earlier.
