Maj. Gen. Kulathunga new National Intelligence Chief

Major General Ruwan Kulathunga has been appointed as the new Chief of National Intelligence, with effect from 1 June. The new appointment follows the resignation of State Intelligence chief Sisira Mendis last week. Mendis served as DIG of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and was also head of the Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) from 2008 to 2009.
