MR appoints team to plan ‘revival of economy’

MP and former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has appointed a three-member committee to develop what sources described as a plan for the revival of the economy.

It comprises Central Bank former Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal, former Secretary to the Prime Minister S. Amera-sekera, and Securities and Exchange Commission former Chairman Dr. Nalaka Godahewa. The committee is expected to report to Rajapaksa within one month, sources added.
