Litro jacks up LPG prices again

• 12.5 kg cylinder up by Rs. 250 to Rs. 4,610, 5 kg up by 100 to Rs. 1,850, 2.3 kg up by Rs. 45 to Rs. 860
• LAUGFS Gas says no increase in LP gas prices

Considering the rising world market prices, Litro Gas Lanka Ltd. yesterday said it would increase the price of domestic gas cylinders across the board from last night.

As per the new price revision, a 12.5kg Litro gas cylinder has been increased by Rs. 250, while a 5 kg has been increased by Rs. 100 and a 2.3 kg canister has been increased by Rs. 45.

Accordingly, the 12.5 kg cylinder is now Rs. 4,610, while the 5 kg cylinder is Rs. 1,850 and the 2.3 kg cylinder is Rs. 860.

Previously, a 12.5 kg canister was sold at Rs. Rs. 4,360, whilst a 5 kg cylinder at Rs. 1,750 and 2.3 kg at Rs. 810.

This was the second consecutive price hike that came in since last month, based on the pricing formula introduced by the Government.

Separately, LAUGFS Gas PLC said there will be no increase in its domestic LPG prices and that it will continue selling at the existing prices.
