Litro Gas Lanka Ltd., yesterday announced that domestic liquefied petroleum (LP) gas prices will remain unchanged for May despite rising international prices and continued exchange rate pressures.
Accordingly, the company said the current retail prices will continue throughout the month.
Under the revised pricing structure for the Colombo District, the 12.5 kg cylinder will remain at Rs. 4,765, the 5 kg cylinder at Rs. 1,910, and the 2.3 kg cylinder at Rs. 890.
Litro said the decision was taken to provide relief to consumers amid prevailing economic conditions and continued pressure from global energy market trends and currency movements.
The company added that maintaining price stability formed part of its efforts to ease the financial burden on households.
LAUGFS Gas has revised its domestic refill prices from last midnight. New refill prices are as follows: 12.5kg – Rs. 6,245 and 5kg – Rs. 2,500 (Colombo District prices).Accordingly, the company said the current retail prices will continue throughout the month.
