Laugfs Gas PLC yesterday said it was in preliminary, informal discussions with interested parties on strategic options for its wholly owned subsidiary Laugfs Terminals Ltd., including the potential disposal of part or all of its shareholding.

Laugfs Terminals owns and operates the 30,000 MT liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) terminal at the Hambantota International Port. The options under consideration include commercial collaboration, investment and a potential partial or full sale of the company’s stake in the subsidiary.

No agreement has been reached on the structure or terms of any transaction, and no definitive transaction agreement has been entered into, the company said, adding that there was no certainty the discussions would result in a transaction. Accordingly, any financial impact could not be determined at this stage.

The company said it would promptly disclose material developments in accordance with the Colombo Stock Exchange Listing Rules.
