The latest insights to cyber security challenges and solutions for organisations and individuals will come under spotlight today and tomorrow in Colombo via a joint experts initiative by the Daily FT and CICRA Campus.
The thought leadership exercise will kick off today with a top-level CEO Forum highlighting cyber-security as a board room issue today evening from 6.00 p.m. at the Cinnamon Grand Oak Room. Tomorrow the same venue will host a full-day of insights followed by a unique ‘night hack’ demonstrating practical incidents of cyber security threats.
The latest joint initiative is the 11th annual exposition of solutions from global and local experts reinforcing the Daily FT-CICRA as the most authoritative forum for finding out the latest dynamics of cyber security – considered as the most dominant external threat for countries, companies and individuals.
Experts who will speak today and tomorrow include Meta South Asia and Central Asia Director Public Policy Sarim Aziz, Visa Consulting and Analytics Asia Pacific Risk Practice Lead Sen Dibyajyoti, Sysco LABS Cyber Security Director and Business Information Security Asia Pacific Officer Shanthi Rajesh and Secgra Cloud Security Innovator/Director Paul Hidalgo will be the keynote speakers. Guest speakers include Rajah and Tann Cyber Security Chief Executive Officer Wong Onn Chee, Brandix Director Oshada Senanayake, Brandix-Fortude IT Infrastructure and Security General Manager Prageeth Kapuruge and 8 South Asian Technologies Chief Technical Strategy Officer Shabeer Shiyam.
At tomorrow’s full day summit session 1 will focus on “Future - Proof Security Predicting Cyber Threats Before They Strike” with speakers being Dibyajyoti Sen, Oshada Senanayake, Dialog Axiata Group Chief Information Officer Asela Perera, Central Bank of Sri Lanka Chief Information Security Officer Sanjee Balasooriya and Hashx Ltd. Founder/CEO Avishka Bandara.
The afternoon session will see a key note by Shanthi Rajesh and guest speech by Brandix, Fortude IT infrastructure and Security General Manager Prageeth Kapuruge and a panel discussion including
Cargills Bank PLC Group Chief Information Officer Druvi Vaidyakularatne and Millennium IT Director – Managed Security Services Mushtaq Mukthar.
Post-lunch session will be on “The Prompt Pro: Mastering AI for the Modern Professional” and “Personal Cyber Security” followed by a session on “AI vs. Hackers: The Next Frontier In Threat Detection” with Paul Hidalgo as the keynote speaker and South Asian Technologies Chief Technical Strategy Officer Shabeer Shiyam as the Guest Speaker. Session four will be on “AI Governance Models And Frameworks , What Is Best Of Asia?” with keynote by Sarim Aziz and Guest Speech presentation by Wong Onn Chee.
The panel discussion will include Nestle Sri Lanka Assistant Director – Legal and Regulatory Affairs/Company Secretary Keerthi Pathiraja, General Counsel/Data Protection Officer, PDPA Drafting Committee Member Trinesh Fernando.
