Lankem Rs. 1.2 b Rights Issue oversubscribed

Lankem Ceylon PLC said its 1:3 Rights Issue of over 17.1 million shares at Rs. 70 each has been oversubscribed.

The company intended to raise Rs. 1.2 billion via the Rights Issue and attracted over Rs. 1.36 billion worth of applications, subject to realisation of cheques, bank confirmations, elimination of duplication if any, and other verification, the company said. The share closed Tuesday at Rs. 89.10.

The company reported a net asset value per share of Rs. 64.73 as of end September 2025, down from Rs. 70.80 in the March quarter.

The Colombo Fort Land and Building PLC was the highest shareholder at 47.45%, followed by Darley Butler & Company (17.51%) and Senthilverl Holdings (10.16%).
