Kanchana updates supplies

Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera

Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera provided an update on the diesel and petrol shipments that have arrived in the country.

In a Twitter message, the Minister said that two diesel cargos are currently completing the discharge process in Colombo.

He also said that one more diesel cargo is currently at the harbour to be discharged.

Minister Kanchana Wijesekera further said that one petrol cargo is undergoing quality sampling. The process to discharge the petrol cargo will begin today he said.

The Energy Minister also added that the Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminal Ltd., (CPSTL) will commence deliveries to the rural depots by trains and trucks today.
