Independent Committee’s report on CBSL salary hike given to President 

Independent Remuneration Committee Chairman Dinesh Weerakkody

The Independent Remuneration Com-mittee set up by the Ministry of Finance to resolve the disputed CBSL pay hike has handed over its report to President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Responding to a question from Daily FT on the progress of the Committee, its Chairman Dinesh Weerakkody confirmed that the work of the Committee was completed and the report had been given to President Wickremesinghe who is also Minister of Finance.

Responding to a question if the six unions were also spoken to by the Remuneration Committee, Weerakkody confirmed that the Committee had also met with the union.

Others members of the Committee are Dr. Indrajit Coomaraswamy, Sudharma Karunarathne, Nihal Fonseka, Anushka S. Wijesinha, Duminda Hulangamuwa, Arjuna Herath and Dilrukshi Vidanage (Secretary).
