Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says it prohibits shipping “to and from ports of allies and supporters of the Israeli-American enemies” through any corridor or to any destination.
The IRGC added the Strait of Hormuz is closed and any vessels transiting through the waterway will face “harsh measures”, said a statement carried by Iran’s Fars news agency.
Three container ships of different nationalities were blocked from entering the strait today following warnings from IRGC naval forces, it said.
