The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) announced that starting 1 September, all applications for both temporary and permanent Value Added Tax (VAT) registration must be submitted exclusively through its online “e-Services” platform.
In a statement issued on 29 August, the Department stated manual submissions will no longer be accepted after 31 August, making the digital platform the sole channel for VAT registration going forward.
Individuals and businesses seeking VAT registration have been instructed to complete the process via the IRD’s official website. Taxpayers can also contact the Department’s call centre by dialling 1944 for guidance and assistance with the online service.
The move is part of the IRD’s ongoing efforts to digitise tax administration and improve efficiency in line with the Government’s broader digital transformation agenda.
