IGP calls on President

The newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP) T. M. W. Deshabandu Tennakoon met with President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday.

Upon assuming duties as the 36th IGP, Tennakoon took the opportunity to pay a courtesy visit to the President.

President Wickremesinghe extended his felicitations to the new IGP and engaged in a friendly conversation with him.

As a gesture of respect and tradition, the new IGP presented the President with a customary memento.
