Home Lands says it has pre-sold 50% of the units in its upcoming Central Park Boulevard Port City Colombo development ahead of the project’s official launch this week, signalling strong investor interest in one of the largest private real estate investments announced in Sri Lanka in recent years.
The company said more than half of the project’s over 640 residential units have already been sold before the public launch scheduled from 12 to 14 June, implying sales of more than 320 units prior to commencement of the official sales campaign.
The twin-tower development, located within Port City Colombo’s Central Park District, carries an estimated project value exceeding $ 300 million. Home Lands said it is investing $ 150 million in the project, describing it as the largest real estate investment undertaken by a single Sri Lankan developer.
For investors, the pre-sales figure provides an early indication of market demand and absorption rates in Sri Lanka’s recovering high-end residential property market.
The development comprises more than 640 apartments across two towers rising 37 levels. According to the company, the project overlooks Port City’s Central Park district, which includes nearly 40 acres of parkland and waterways, while offering views of the Indian Ocean.
Home Lands said the development is expected to attract foreign currency inflows through purchases by overseas investors and foreign buyers.
The official launch, branded the “Grand Launch Weekend”, will take place from 12 to 14 June at the Lumina Ballroom of Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams.
The event will commence with “The Night of Emeralds” on 12 June, marking the formal unveiling of the project. Home Lands said the event is expected to bring together business leaders, celebrities, social influencers and invited guests from Sri Lanka and overseas, alongside Bollywood personalities.
The launch programme will continue with a series of investor and customer engagement events, including The Boulevard Brunch, The Boulevard High Tea, The Boulevard Sundowner and The Boulevard Evening, providing prospective buyers and investors an opportunity to review the project in greater detail.
Ahead of the launch, Home Lands appointed former Sri Lanka cricket captain Mahela Jayawardene as brand ambassador for the development.
The company said a dedicated Central Park Boulevard Port City Colombo Sales Gallery will open on 15 June, offering prospective investors and buyers a detailed introduction to the project’s design, investment proposition and lifestyle offering.
Home Lands said it has delivered 3,750 resort apartments and villas across Sri Lanka and currently has more than 2,200 units under construction across 10 residential developments. A further 500 units are scheduled for delivery within the next six months.
