To be recognised by such a prestigious magazine will cement the position of Headquarters by W15 amidst the gilt of Colombo’s finest restaurants.
Right on its heels of turning two this year, this valuable recognition also accords Headquarters by W15 an edge over some of the earlier established eateries in Colombo. However, the accolade does not come as a surprise. Headquarters by W15 is the ultimate rooftop locale to satiate taste buds with a thoughtfully and boldly curated scrumptious fare. As the Colombo skyline sets ablaze in a mesmerising blur of colour, your spirit is soothed and your appetite is satisfied as you sit under fairy lights on a spacious terrace. Diners will be enthralled as soon as they step off the elevators at the 9th floor of HQ Colombo down T.B. Jayah Mawatha. The restaurant materialises in front of them with vibrant wall murals inspired by retro comics. The vital business of pleasuring all of one’s senses will continue with delectable offerings such as prawn koththu, pol sambol and egg sandwich, rich yellow prawn curry, mutton curry with paratha, aluth kade dum biryani, and lamprais. Such fare can be washed down with exciting cocktails such as ‘Butterfly Effect’ (W15 emperor gin, lavender syrup, narang and mint oil), ‘Colonial Arrack’ (Rockland arrack, jaggery and W15 aromatic bitters) and ‘Hard Day’s Work’ (W15 clarified whiskey sour with merlot). All this creates the perfect ambience, made into something magical by the view that casts a spell.
